A comprehensive strategy document that will guide UNICEF Rwanda to develop a long-term strategic vision for mainstreaming a climate response to children’s rights in Rwanda.
Developing a Climate, Energy and Environment Landscape Analysis for Children (CLAC) the (UNICEF) Angola Country Office (CO).
Establish three (3) new National Focal Groups (NFGs) in three (3) Member States and to build the capacity of eight (8) NFGs in eight (8) SADC Member States to operationalise them in achieving their mandate.
Providing technical assistance for the development of a robust groundwater management plan to to be achieved through, amongst others i) guiding joint groundwater resources development and management, ii) harmonising current and planned groundwater initiatives with national plans of the LRB riparian states iii) prioritising groundwater-related projects iv) and capturing the multi-disciplinary and multisectoral approach to management and development of national and transboundary groundwater resources in the LRB.
Executing the mid-term evaluation of the GEF-funded project. Desktop review of all project documentation; interviews with relevant stakeholders; project site visits; formulation of a final MTE report.
Developed a Strategic Programme for Water Security and Resilience in Africa, building on the existing AMCOW Pan-African Groundwater Programme, which will harness the expertise of AMCOW Member States and partners to establish the necessary institutional and management arrangements for effective groundwater and transboundary aquifer management and development across Africa
