Stakeholder Facilitation
OneWorld has been facilitating stakeholder processes for over 20 years, supporting stakeholders to achieve a range of desired project objectives and outcomes, both in Africa and globally.
Over this time, we have developed an approach of working with our stakeholders as critical partners in the project (or assignment) lifecycle.
Our Approach towards Facilitating Stakeholder Processes
This partnership-based approach is rooted in the understanding that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution, and it is thus essential to work with stakeholders to co-develop and co-validate solutions, that will work for them. Identifying such solutions with the stakeholders – i.e., co-identifying – often requires navigating complex partnerships, contexts and situations.
Recognising this, we adopt an adaptive management approach, are open to alternative solutions, and willing to go through numerous iterations. However, since such co-developed and co-validated solutions are rooted in the shared learning and participatory experience, they are well set to have a life beyond the end of the specific project or assignment.
