Our Story
OneWorld is a privately-owned sustainable development consulting organisation head-quartered in Cape Town whose primary focus is sustainable development in Africa and the developing world.
Co-founded in 2001 by South Africans Belynda Petrie and Sven Kreher, OneWorld’s ethos is grounded in their belief that investing in sustainability is not just essential to protecting the environment for future generations but also economically beneficial in the long-term.
This vision led them to create a company, rather than an NGO, focused primarily on climate change issues in an African context.
Now, more than 20 years later, OneWorld continues to prove the long-term viability of investing in resilience and sustainability through its involvement in projects throughout Africa and parts of Asia.
Our Objectives
OneWorld aims to deliver quality services and lead on key established and emerging trends within and across the areas of climate change, natural resources, energy transitions and urban resilience, toward enhanced sustainable development and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
