In 2010, OneWorld completed a case study on South Africa, Skills for Green Jobs: A Global View Report, which contributed to the global International Labour Organisation (ILO) Skills for Green Jobs report compiling country case study from around the world. In 2017, the South African update report identified the key sectors with greening potential, as well as actual beneficiary sectors of green skills packages and programmes. This policy brief, a result of the collaboration between OneWorld Sustainable Investments and the ILO, compiles and analyses data on the opportunity for green jobs and green skills in South Africa.
