Rabia Parker is a project co-ordinator at OneWorld. She provides project management and research support on various projects, with a focus on  climate financing, policy analysis and stakeholder engagement. Rabia is the project co-ordinator for the development of a climate finance mapping tool for GIZ in Bangladesh as well as for several UNICEF Climate Landscape Analyses for Children. The UNICEF projects are based in Angola, Rwanda, South Africa and Ethiopia and include the analysis of CEE in the country, in-depth policy reviews, comprehensive stakeholder engagement, mapping of climate finance opportunities and identifying action items for UNICEF programming to integrate a climate-response into their child-focused strategies.  Rabia is currently completing an MCom in Economic Development at the University of Cape Town and has previously completed a Bachelor of Business Science specialising in Finance. She has three years of work experience in financial sustainability research and linking environmental and social aspects to investment structuring. Prior to this she interned at Rabia Transitions as an economic and financial research analyst focused on the Just Transition and transition risks in South Africa. Her previous work experience is as a global equity analyst at Fairtree Capital and a graduate trainee at Old Mutual Investment Group with a focus on ESG in the alternative investments space. Apart from this she tutors mathematics to disadvantaged learners with Fun Learning for Youth on a weekly basis, and assists Amnesty International South Africa with their membership footprint and alumni network in Cape Town.
