Tashveera Jagganath is a highly qualified environmental and water science professional holding a Master’s degree in the field. With expertise in environmental assessment and management, geographical information systems (GIS), hydrogeology, surface-water hydrology, and geomorphology, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her role.

Before joining OneWorld, Tashveera worked on impactful projects aimed at improving water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services for underserved communities in eThekwini, Kwa-Zulu Natal. In her current role as Project Coordinator and Researcher at OneWorld, she provides vital administrative and research support for ongoing projects. Tashveera has played a crucial role in the research and stakeholder engagement aspects of various projects, including the “Climate Landscape Analysis for Children (CLAC)” for UNICEF country offices.

Additionally, she has supported the facilitation and management of dialogues for the Presidential Climate Commission (PCC) and helped organise over 100 stakeholder engagements for the development of the “Groundwater Strategy for the Limpopo River Basin,” in collaboration with the SADC Groundwater Management Institute (SADC-GMI) and the Limpopo Watercourse Commission (LIMCOM).  Most recently, Tashveera has been growing her knowledge on climate finance and has worked alongside the C40 Cities team and the City of Addis Ababa Officials to mainstream climate change actions and develop a climate finance plan for the city’s key sectors (waste, energy, transport, disaster risk reduction).

Tashveera is also involved in business development and knowledge management, staying on top of potential tenders, learning opportunities, and conferences.

Her academic excellence at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) in the Earth Science Department earned her prestigious Golden Key International Honour Society membership, further underscoring her commitment to high academic and professional standards.
