🌍 New Publication Release 📢

OneWorld, in collaboration with UNICEF Ethiopia and the Ethiopian Ministry of Planning and Development (MoPD), is proud to present our latest policy brief: “Ethiopian Children in an Escalating Climate Crisis.”

This publication examines how Ethiopia’s changing climate is intensifying challenges for children nationwide. With increased droughts, floods, and shifting weather patterns, Ethiopian children face heightened risks to their health, education, and well-being. Our analysis, conducted through the Climate Landscape Analysis for Children (CLAC) with UNICEF Ethiopia, highlights key areas for intervention, offering evidence-based policy recommendations to strengthen climate resilience for Ethiopia’s future generations.

The Policy Brief was launched at a high-level event on 25 October in Addis Ababa, and featured remarks from H.E Dr. Aboubacar Kampo, UNICEF Representative in Ethiopia, H.E. Ambassador Sune Krogstrup, Royal Danish Embassy, H.E Dr Fitsum Assefa and H.E Ato Seyoum Mekonen, Ministry of Planning and Development.

Subsequently, the full Climate Landscape Analysis for Children (CLAC) in Ethiopia report has also been published.
